God's Plan for You

God's Plan for this World and You

THE view of planet earth, seen from outer space, is very beautiful indeed. Confirmation of this has come from the astronauts who have gazed upon it. The earth is the fairest jewel in God's creation and it is the chosen place in the whole universe where He has promised to reveal His Kingdom in all its glory. That is why it is so beautiful.

The earth, of all the planets in the solar system, is the one that is perfectly suited to all forms of life and the one that orbits at exactly the right distance from the sun to provide comfortable conditions for the human race.

Bible Truth

Is Bible Truth important to your Faith and Salvation ie. will you be saved despite what you believe the bible teaches or does it matter what you believe?

Well the word “truth” appears 237 times in the bible, that alone says it must be important!

Therefore it must be important to understand what “truth” is.

A quick scan of the passages using this word “truth” leave us in no doubt that it is not only important, but vital to our salvation.

John 17:3

3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

1 John 5:20

20And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

1 Timothy 2:3-4

3For thisis good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

Clearly then knowing what is Bible Truth is important and vital, in addition to this we are also warned that some would depart from the “truth”…

1 Timothy 4:1

1Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

1 John 4:6

6We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

From these passages it is very clear that we need to know the “truth” about God and His Son as it is taught to us in the Bible.  This means we must learn what this is from the Bible itself.

Don't let your HOPE of LIFE ETERNAL rest with someone else eg. your pastor or minister, YOU owe it to yourself and your family to be fully convinced of what it is you believe to be sure it HOLDS something REAL for you.

We have all been warned by God that there would be many false teachers and Jesus himself has told us that "Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."  See Matthew 7:14

Sadly when Christ returns to this earth, many will only then realise that they have believed in lies Jeremiah 16:19

"19 O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit."

Don't let this be you or your family!

BIBLE TRUTH and true faith must be founded on a fully inspired Bible.

Are mainstream Christian teachings correct?

The true Gospel can suffer from preconceived ideas and misinterpretations.

Find out what the Bible is actually saying and where interpretation can go wrong.

You owe it to yourself and your family to be sure of what it is you believe, the Apostle Paul has told us to "work out our own salvation with fear and trembling"  Philippians 2:12

What We Believe

True Bible Teaching fundamental beliefs are:

  1. The Bible is God's word and the only message from him. It is without error, except for copying and translation errors.
  2. There is only one God - the Father. The Holy Spirit is God's power.
  3. Jesus is the Son of God, and a human being, through his mother Mary.
  4. Man is mortal, having no existence when dead.
  5. By living a sinless life, ending with his sacrificial death by crucifixion, Jesus has opened the way of salvation from death.
  6. Belief and baptism are essential steps to salvation.
  7. God raised Jesus from death. Jesus is currently in Heaven, on God's right hand. He will one day return.
  8. When Jesus returns, he will raise his "sleeping" followers from death and grant immortality to the faithful who have tried to live by God's precepts.
  9. His followers will help him to rule, bringing justice, righteousness and peace to the whole world - the Kingdom of God.

Truth Seeker - True Bible Teaching

The Bible is our only true source for the Truth!

If we claim to follow Christ we should trust in the Scriptures as confidently as Jesus and his Apostles did:

Jesus said that: The Scripture cannot be broken.  (John 10:35)

Paul said that: All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. (2 Timothy 3:16)

Peter said that: For prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1:21)

The things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven (1 Peter 1:12)

True faith must be founded on a fully inspired Bible.

God's Offer of LIFE or DEATH

“Now what I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach. It is not up in heaven, so that you have to ask, “Who will ascend into heaven to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?” Nor is it beyond the sea, so that you have to ask, “Who will cross the sea to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?” No, the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it.   See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him… This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life…"  Deuteronomy Chapter 30:12-20

From this passage we see how important it is to each one of us that we seek after God and His Word the Bible to us.

Without this we have no hope of LIFE, but only a future of DEATH.

This Word of God was originally given to the Nation of Israel and later it spread via the Apostles of Christ to the World, that even we today might have this same HOPE of LIFE ETERNAL.

It is UP to YOU then to seek out God’s Word, to KNOW what is the TRUTH of God’s Word so that you and your family might KNOW the way of LIFE ETERNAL and the great HOPE of living in God’s Kingdom on EARTH.

Do not let your HOPE rest upon others and most importantly on what others teach, search it out for yourself because we have been warned that the churches would be astray from God’s word in the last days.

"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”   2 Timothy 4:3-4

Too much is at stake for you to not act yourself to seek out the TRUTH.

Christ himself has told us to do this when he said…

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. Godis a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” John 4:23-24

The Bible Is Our ONLY Guide

The Holy BibleThe Bible provides us with plain Scriptural Teaching for the True Followers of Christ

The statements on this guide represent what we believe is true Bible teaching. The statements are deliberately challenging, asking every reader to compare his own opinions with the plain teaching of Scripture, examining carefully the Bible passages offered as proof. If, as a result, a change of mind and heart is called for, there will be no doubt that the teaching of the Lord, and the book he trusted, must be followed and not what the churches teach.

All Scripture quotations are taken from the New King James (also known as the Revised Authorized) Version of the Bible.

To be ACCEPTED by God we must have ‘HUMILITY’

True Bible Teaching - About You and God and Your Hope of Salvation

To be ACCEPTED by God we must have ‘HUMILITY’

To be ACCEPTED by God we must have ‘HUMILITY’

1 Peter 5-7

5Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. 6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: 7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

The humble vs the proud?

Why is God so much against human pride?

What is it about pride that makes it so wrong?

Our correct understanding of this is so important, that God saw fit to provide for us the book of Job, which deals solely with this very issue.

Bro Lovelock in his consideration of Job says "The book of Job presents an acute study of human nature" and in doing so, it also demonstrates clearly our position before the OMNIPOTENCE and OMNISCIENCE of God.

job and 3 friendsJob suffered the terrible loss of all his possessions, all his children and then was inflicted with "boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown" ie. head.

This terrible trial came upon Job that he along with his 3 friends and us, might come to see clearly how it is that we, despite our low estate and all our faults, can still present ourselves before God and be accepted by Him.

The Book of Job by Lovelock - page 23-24 reads as follows:

"The book if Job presents an acute study of human nature, and the structure and setting forms a masterly treatment of that subject unequalled in any literature for both dramatic effect and depth of perception. The prologue enables us, standing outside of the temporal frame of Job and his friends, to view the complete circumstances of his sufferings. To the characters in the drama, however, the sufferings of Job are inexplicable, and each endeavours to find a rational explanation for their occurrence. Each is fully persuaded that his mental acuity has already made him master of the principle of life, and each endeavours to explain the facts in terms of his own philosophy, never doubting that his wisdom is unquestionable. Job, conscious of his abstinence from the gross evils of life, sees only one solution - that God is unjust or uncaring for man: the friends, fully persuaded of divine justice, see only gross sin in the life of Job as a possible reason. Not one suspects that his own understanding of the problem may be at fault, and in this "pride of intellect" we see one of our most insidious weaknesses portrayed by a pen of genius."

In summary we could say that the Book of Job is all about HUMAN PRIDE!

In Job it was the PRIDE of self righteousness.

In his three friends it was the PRIDE of self Intellect.

Into these two categories we could put all the iniquity of HUMAN PRIDE.

Pride is by far the hardest of the three evils in us all, to overcome, and failure on our part to do so will make us unacceptable to God, as God's rebuke of Job and his three friends illustrates.

Here is a great warning to us all. We could all benefit greatly from a study of the book of Job in our preparation for Christ's return and Judgement.

The opposite to PRIDE is HUMILITY, and this is a quality that all true Sons and Daughters of God most learn to develop. Humility is a prerequisite to God Manifestation which is the express purpose of God in all those He calls.

How can we fully appreciate the need to manifest the characteristics of God, until we've first come to realise that all that is in us is evil before God.

We can't even begin to become acceptable to God until we've acknowledged our utter unworthiness and repented.

God's appointed DAY of Judgement for the world is to be "upon every one that is proud and haughty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low" says Isaiah (2:12).

God answers Job in Chapters 38-42, and this Divine answer falls naturally into two closely related sections,

1st. 38:2-40:5

2nd. 40:7-42:6

Each of these is prefaced by a challenge to Job, and concluded by a confession from Job.

Generalising we might say that the first section is concerned with the OMNIPOTENCE of God, and the second with His OMNISCIENCE.

Elihu in his contribution emphasized the sin of pride, although he himself was by no means exempt from it, as his reasoning illustrates, but the whole answer of God forms a true comment on this matter.

God's answer is a series if pride-shattering questions designed to reduce all human wisdom to a state of awed humility.

Whilst God's answer is intended to be soul searching, as a God of love, God's answer was not designed to be soul-shattering, but rather a gentle education by which Job's zeal for God could be corrected, resulting in his acceptance with God.

God's answer therefore, stresses human ignorance and inability to question and judge - it is human lack that is highlighted, rather than Divine super-abundance.

That God presents Himself as a God of love is further born out by a comparison between the reasoning of Job's friends and God's presentations of Himself and His creative works.

Again in The Book of Job by Lovelock we read:

"When Zophar would view the omnipotence of God, he views Him as an antagonist modelled on a human pattern, and of His dealing with the wicked he can say:

"Terrors overtake him like waters;

A tempest stealeth him away in the night;

The east wind carrieth him away, and he departeth,

And it sweepeth him out of his place.

For God shall hurl at him and not spare"  (Job 20:20-22)

When God passes His own greatness in review, how different is the emphasis! The Creator of the universe views the magnificence of His handiwork, and mentions, not the magnitude but the pleasure of it:

"When the morning stars sang together,

And all the Sons of Elohim shouted for joy"  (Job 38:7)

"When the mighty ocean is viewed, it is not the might which is hymned, but the restraining hand which would prevent its unhindered progress of destruction. When the wicked are considered, there is no pleasure nor exultation in their downfall, but only in the fact that in their removal, wickedness is taken away from the earth. When the twin ideas if darkness and of death are considered, it is their "gates", the limitation of their power by the hand of God, which is mentioned, and there is a "way to the dwelling of light", if only man could find it. The hail and snow, so dreaded by man, were reserved by God against the day of trouble, and not indiscriminately scattered abroad. It is not the might of the lion which is instanced by the Creator, but the merciful wisdom providing to each its food which pleases and satisfies God."

Man often does not see God in His true perspective.

All five men in the book of Job when presenting the greatness of God, looked upon His judgments, but to God, the judgments are a passing thought, scarcely noticed in the midst of a thousand loving provisions of love and mercy for His creatures.

The God of Job is identical with the God of Moses who stated; "God is slow to anger and plenteous in mercy" (Numbers 14:18)

This same God who revealed His glory to Moses on Mt Horeb, revealed it on the same mountain to Elijah, and he was to learn the same lesson.

God was not in the mighty wind which threw down the rocks, nor in the earthquake, nor yet in the fire; God was in a still, small, voice which spoke in mild and educational reproof: "What doest thou here, Elijah?"  (1 Kings 19)

So first and foremostly as we consider the subject of Judgement, it’s important that we do so with a correct perspective of God and the way in which He sees it.

Let’s view it from God's perspective and not our own.

God is an Ail of "Love, Grace, Longsuffering and abundant in Goodness and Truth, Keeping Mercy for thousands, Forgiving Iniquity and Transgression and Sin:"

Judgement is but a small spec in the process of the purpose of God to cover this earth with His Glory.

He is perfectly aware of all our faults. He knows each one of us, better than we know ourselves, and despite this, God is abundantly willing that we all should be saved!

Evidence of that is clearly demonstrated in the great lengths and pain to which He has gone, that this should be possible.

Psalm 36:5-12 speaks to us about God's lovingkindness as follows:

“5 Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds. 6 Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast. 7 How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings. 8 They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures. 9 For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light. 10 O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart. 11 Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me. 12 There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.”

Psalm 103:10-14  speaks about God's forgiveness as follows:

“10 He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. 11 For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. 12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. 13 Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him. 14 For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.”

And less there be any doubt at all about God’s intentions we need only to see what the angel of God replied to Abraham when he was questioning them about their intentions with Sodom and Gomorrah in Genesis 18:25 where they said..."Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?"

In view of this, should we in any way look to Judgement with fear in our hearts?

If our perspective of God and Judgement is correct, then quite clearly we should not have fear in our hearts.

God presents Himself to Job as a God of Love and Mercy.

Eventually Job arrives at a true understanding of mans position before God, and of how he, despite all his weaknesses can still find acceptance with the Great Ail of Heaven and Earth.

Job's first confession in Job 40:3-5

“3 Then Job answered the LORD, and said, 4 Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer thee? I will lay mine hand upon my mouth. 5 Once have I spoken; but I will not answer: yea, twice; but I will proceed no further.”

Job's second confession in Job 42:1-6

“1 Then Job answered the LORD, and said, 2 I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee. 3 Who is he that hideth counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not. 4 Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me. 5 I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee. 6 Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.”

With this right confession before God, Job is accepted by God.

God then turns to deal with Jobs three friends as follows:

“7 … the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath. 8 Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you: for him will I accept: lest I deal with you after your folly, in that ye have not spoken of me the thing which is right, like my servant Job. 9 So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went, and did according as the LORD commanded them: the LORD also accepted Job.

10 And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before. 11 Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one an earring of gold. 12 So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.”

The ultimate and clear lesson for us is that salvation is the free gift of God

Romans 2:3-4

“3 And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God? 4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?”

Romans 6:23

“23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Ephesians 2:8-10

“8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”

We can't even claim our repentance was our doing as God in His mercy leads the faithful ie. those with a character capable of faith and humility to repentance.

The lesson learnt by Job.    Job 42:13-14

“13 He had also seven sons and three daughters. 14 And he called the name of the first, Jemima; and the name of the second, Kezia; and the name of the third, Kerenhappuch.”

1st = "Jemimah"  Heb. sig. warm, affectionate etc... by nature a Dove (Strong)

Note: A Dove was a poor persons offering under the law instead of a lamb.

The offering by nature or character was suppose  to illustrate what God desired to see in all His Sons and Daughters, i.e. gentleness, harmlessness, humility etc...

2nd = "Keziah"  Heb. sig. to segregate i.e. to separate

3rd = "Keren-happuch" Heb. Sig. a horn glistening i.e. glorification

“For whatsoever things were written a foretime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.” (Rom 15:4)

Was Job revealing to us here, the true means to acceptance with God?

Note that these also answer to the 3 steps of GOD-MANIFESTATION by which salvation will be given to all those who have the Fathers Name engraven upon their foreheads.

1st = MENTAL  i.e. true knowledge which leads to an understanding of our sin and unworthiness before God, resulting in our humility and repentance.

2nd = MORAL  i.e. manifesting the true and only righteousness of the Fathers character.

3rd = PHYSICAL i.e. the ultimate Glory reserved for all true Sons and

Daughters of God at Christ's return.

Here quite simply is presented by Job the criteria for Divine Acceptance in the purpose of God and our salvation.

This is even more interesting when we consider that Job is thought to be the oldest book in the Bible, this gives Job's clear and simply understanding all the more impact on us, who at times imagine and endeavour to make the truth, more complex than it really is.

Let’s remember that;

"God hath chosen the foolish things of the world, to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; and base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: THAT NO FLESH SHOULD GLORY IN HIS PRESENCE."

So we might say in summary then, that the basis or criteria for ACCEPTANCE with God is;

1. A TRUE knowledge that produces true and sincere HUMILITY in the light of the OMNIPOTENCE AND OMNISICIENCE OF GOD.

2. SEPARATION from the ways of the world, to perform works of GOD-MANIFESTATION.

God's Declared Purpose with YOU and the EARTH

Is YOUR knowledge of the BIBLE

and YOUR belief and worship of GOD

able to SAVE YOU?

Not sure? Well consider this passage from JOHN CHAPTER 17

"1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: 2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. 3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. 4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do."

The Greek word for "know" is 'genosko' and it means to have a thorough intellectual understanding of what something is all about.

Do you have this understanding of God and His Son

Jesus Christ?

The need for this full understanding of the TRUTH is further underlined by Christ's words in John 17:17Only a TRUE understanding of the Word of God can Save YOU

We are sanctified in our understanding of God's word of Truth ie. set apart as special unto God and Christ, without this we cannot be saved.  Just as Israel were not saved when they strayed from their TRUE knowledge of God.

God's special people the nation of Israel were destroyed for lack of knowledge as we read in Hosea 4:1 Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.

In Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee.

In Hosea 6:6 For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.

The Apostle Paul has warned us that some would not be in the Faith (ie. the true knowledge of God and Christ)...

1 Timothly 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
And again by the Apostle Peter...

2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

And in 2 Thessalonians where the Apostle Paul tells us that some would fall away from "the Truth" he says that this would be becaused they had lost their love of the Truth and had chosen rather to believe a lie.

2 Thessalonians 2:10-12

"10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness."

And so the Apostle Paul counselled us all to Work out OUR OWN SALVATION...

Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

You owe it to yourself and your family to seek the Truth

about God, His Son Jesus and His purpose with you

and this earth.
