God's Plan for You

God's Plan for this World and You

THE view of planet earth, seen from outer space, is very beautiful indeed. Confirmation of this has come from the astronauts who have gazed upon it. The earth is the fairest jewel in God's creation and it is the chosen place in the whole universe where He has promised to reveal His Kingdom in all its glory. That is why it is so beautiful.

The earth, of all the planets in the solar system, is the one that is perfectly suited to all forms of life and the one that orbits at exactly the right distance from the sun to provide comfortable conditions for the human race.

Bible Truth

Is Bible Truth important to your Faith and Salvation ie. will you be saved despite what you believe the bible teaches or does it matter what you believe?

Well the word “truth” appears 237 times in the bible, that alone says it must be important!

Therefore it must be important to understand what “truth” is.

A quick scan of the passages using this word “truth” leave us in no doubt that it is not only important, but vital to our salvation.

John 17:3

3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

1 John 5:20

20And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

1 Timothy 2:3-4

3For thisis good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

Clearly then knowing what is Bible Truth is important and vital, in addition to this we are also warned that some would depart from the “truth”…

1 Timothy 4:1

1Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

1 John 4:6

6We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

From these passages it is very clear that we need to know the “truth” about God and His Son as it is taught to us in the Bible.  This means we must learn what this is from the Bible itself.

Don't let your HOPE of LIFE ETERNAL rest with someone else eg. your pastor or minister, YOU owe it to yourself and your family to be fully convinced of what it is you believe to be sure it HOLDS something REAL for you.

We have all been warned by God that there would be many false teachers and Jesus himself has told us that "Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."  See Matthew 7:14

Sadly when Christ returns to this earth, many will only then realise that they have believed in lies Jeremiah 16:19

"19 O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit."

Don't let this be you or your family!

BIBLE TRUTH and true faith must be founded on a fully inspired Bible.

Are mainstream Christian teachings correct?

The true Gospel can suffer from preconceived ideas and misinterpretations.

Find out what the Bible is actually saying and where interpretation can go wrong.

You owe it to yourself and your family to be sure of what it is you believe, the Apostle Paul has told us to "work out our own salvation with fear and trembling"  Philippians 2:12

What We Believe

True Bible Teaching fundamental beliefs are:

  1. The Bible is God's word and the only message from him. It is without error, except for copying and translation errors.
  2. There is only one God - the Father. The Holy Spirit is God's power.
  3. Jesus is the Son of God, and a human being, through his mother Mary.
  4. Man is mortal, having no existence when dead.
  5. By living a sinless life, ending with his sacrificial death by crucifixion, Jesus has opened the way of salvation from death.
  6. Belief and baptism are essential steps to salvation.
  7. God raised Jesus from death. Jesus is currently in Heaven, on God's right hand. He will one day return.
  8. When Jesus returns, he will raise his "sleeping" followers from death and grant immortality to the faithful who have tried to live by God's precepts.
  9. His followers will help him to rule, bringing justice, righteousness and peace to the whole world - the Kingdom of God.

Truth Seeker - True Bible Teaching

The Bible is our only true source for the Truth!

If we claim to follow Christ we should trust in the Scriptures as confidently as Jesus and his Apostles did:

Jesus said that: The Scripture cannot be broken.  (John 10:35)

Paul said that: All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. (2 Timothy 3:16)

Peter said that: For prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1:21)

The things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven (1 Peter 1:12)

True faith must be founded on a fully inspired Bible.

God's Offer of LIFE or DEATH

“Now what I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach. It is not up in heaven, so that you have to ask, “Who will ascend into heaven to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?” Nor is it beyond the sea, so that you have to ask, “Who will cross the sea to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?” No, the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it.   See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him… This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life…"  Deuteronomy Chapter 30:12-20

From this passage we see how important it is to each one of us that we seek after God and His Word the Bible to us.

Without this we have no hope of LIFE, but only a future of DEATH.

This Word of God was originally given to the Nation of Israel and later it spread via the Apostles of Christ to the World, that even we today might have this same HOPE of LIFE ETERNAL.

It is UP to YOU then to seek out God’s Word, to KNOW what is the TRUTH of God’s Word so that you and your family might KNOW the way of LIFE ETERNAL and the great HOPE of living in God’s Kingdom on EARTH.

Do not let your HOPE rest upon others and most importantly on what others teach, search it out for yourself because we have been warned that the churches would be astray from God’s word in the last days.

"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”   2 Timothy 4:3-4

Too much is at stake for you to not act yourself to seek out the TRUTH.

Christ himself has told us to do this when he said…

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. Godis a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” John 4:23-24

The Bible Is Our ONLY Guide

The Holy BibleThe Bible provides us with plain Scriptural Teaching for the True Followers of Christ

The statements on this guide represent what we believe is true Bible teaching. The statements are deliberately challenging, asking every reader to compare his own opinions with the plain teaching of Scripture, examining carefully the Bible passages offered as proof. If, as a result, a change of mind and heart is called for, there will be no doubt that the teaching of the Lord, and the book he trusted, must be followed and not what the churches teach.

All Scripture quotations are taken from the New King James (also known as the Revised Authorized) Version of the Bible.

Meeting The Lord in The AIR

True Bible Teaching - About You and God and Your Hope of Salvation

Meeting The Lord in The AIR

Meeting The Lord In The Air?

"Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to Could this be Right? The Rapture - True of False Teaching?meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." (1 Thessalonians 4:17)

The words of the Apostle Paul, quoted above, were intended to be words of comfort for the faithful believers, when one of the members of their congregation "fell asleep", in death.

This comfort is based on the hope of a resurrection and the elevation of the faithful to their promised positions as kings and priests on the earth. (See Revelation 5:10)

Paul's words in this chapter have caused some confusion in certain areas, but they also serve to make many Bible facts very clear. For example, the context informs us that:

  1. Death is a time of great sorrow, especially if there is no hope of a resurrection in Christ. (This supports the bible teaching that without the resurrection, death is final and that corruption in the grave is the only expected event)
  2. Those who die "in Christ" are said to be sleeping. They will be awakened from their sleep at the resurrection in the last day. (See 1 Corinthians 15:16-18, John 11:23-24)
  3. The resurrection occurs at the return of Christ, when he descends from heaven
  4. The dead in Christ will be raised first, and then the living believers will be gathered.
  5. Although not specifically stated, the purpose for the gathering of both the living and the dead believers is for judgment before Christ. (See 2 Timothy 4:1, 2 Corinthians 5:10))
  6. Those who are found faithful at this judgment will be rewarded with immortality and given positions of authority in God's Kingdom on the earth. (See Daniel 7:27, Luke 19:17-19, Revelation 5:10)
  7. When they are elevated to their position of power, they are said to be "in the air", that is, they are in high places of authority in the political heavens.

As with all Bible Teaching we must understand the passages in their intended context and compare scripture with scripture to ensure our understanding is consistence with Bible Teaching elsewhere.

As we will also see it is essential that we understand the symbolic language that is used in the Bible as the words used are not always intended to convey a literal reality but a symbolic meaning is often behind the use of such word symbols.

Let's see what we can make of these words of comfort from the Apostle Paul based on a true understanding of the Bible message in its entirety.

"Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him,"( Revelation 1:7)

In the Bible we are told that "we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever." ( 1 Thessalonians 4:17 NIV)

This verse appears to have a connection with Revelation 1:7.

We suggest that by combining these verses, we should conclude that if the believers are caught up in the clouds, then Jesus will come with these same clouds, to be seen by everyone.

There is nothing unusual about the word cloud. We all are familiar with the natural clouds and we have learned to associate certain types of clouds with weather patterns.Cloud

Clouds are a visible mass of condensed water vapor in the air. We learn from Hebrews 12:1 that the natural clouds represent a multitude of people. (In this case, they are the saints who have died in their faith as witnesses for God.)

These same sleeping saints that are referred to as a "cloud of witnesses" will be resurrected first when Christ returns. (as stated in 1 Thessalonians 4:16) The living saints will then be joined together with them as a part of this multitude of clouds, and together with the Lord, they will execute judgment and establish power over the nations.

There can be no question about the characteristic of these clouds. They will be storm clouds, to pour out the wrath of God on an earth that is filled with corruption and immorality. ( See 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10)

The idea of a cloud or multitude of people as an army is not a new concept in Scripture. For example, the prophet Ezekiel tells us of another cloud that will play a role in the fulfillment of latter day prophecy.

Ezekiel tells about a great northern army with a leader called "Gog." Israel will be invaded in the same time period as when Christ returns with clouds to judge the earth. We read:

" And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army: And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes."  ( Ezekiel 38:15-16. See this entire chapter)

A northern army coming as a cloud will be destroyed by God on the mountains of Israel, so that another great cloud of people, with Christ, may prepare the earth for the Kingdom of God.

After the storm clouds have established their authority in the political heavens of the Kingdom age, the work of Christ and this multitude of clouds will rain blessings of righteousness on the nations that submit to his rule. "He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth. In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth. He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth. ( Psalm 72:6-8, Acts 3:19-21)

"Hear, O heavens! Listen, O earth! For the LORD has spoken: "I reared children and brought them up, but they have rebelled against me."

(Isaiah 1:2 NIV)

The prophet Isaiah spoke to the children of Judah using symbolic terms that were apparently familiar to the people.

The "heavens" in Isaiah's prophecy represented the rulers of Judah, and the "earth" referred to the people. (See Isaiah 1:10)

Even in the Book of Genesis, there are indications that people understood that the natural heavens, (with the sun, moon and stars, that would rule over the day and the night), were typical of the way that man himself would be ruled over by elevated leaders. Some of these rulers were good, and many were evil. They all had their "place in the sun", until God chose to replace them in the development of His purposes for this earth. (See Daniel 4:17)

Joseph was a man of God who had things revealed to him by dreams when he was young. One dream was that the sun, the moon and the 11 stars would bow down to him. ( See Genesis 37:9-11)

Jacob, his father, understood the dream to mean that he as the sun, Rachel his wife as the moon, and his eleven brothers (the stars), would one day bow down to Joseph.

In this account we see that even the family structure was set up like a government, and that symbolic terms taken from the natural heavens were applied to the family in their respective positions.

With this background, it follows that when Jesus and his faithful followers rule on the earth in the coming Kingdom period, they will be the "new heavens, and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness." (See 2nd Peter 3:13)

Peter actually spoke of 3 periods of heavens and earths. The first one was the ruling powers and the people who perished in the flood. The second system is the powers that be today, and the third (and final) system, will be the righteous rule of Christ and the saints in God's coming Kingdom on this earth

There are many examples using this symbolic language including:

"Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever." ( Daniel 12:3 NIV)

"Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear. (Matthew 13:43 NIV)

"And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus." (Ephesians 2:6-7 NIV)

"But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings...." (Malachi 4:2-3 NIV).

"caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air -"???

"Caught up together in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air." This is a part of our hope that causes some confusion for many. The difficulty is in the use of symbolic language in the Bible, and the meanings of certain words. The Bible

The "rapture" as some style it, is a very misleading concept. The word rapture is not from the Bible. The dictionary tells us that it means being carried away in body or spirit, with great joy.

It is true that the servants of God will be taken away at the return of Christ, and that they will also be filled with great joy. (If they are found faithful at the judgment) However, the traditional view of being taken up into the air while the earth is burned up with fire, is not what the Apostle Paul was teaching in 1 Thessalonians 4.

In the "AIR"

This word "air" has a limited use in scripture. In Acts 22:23, we see one application. Angry individuals took off their clothes and threw dust "into the air." (See also 1 Corinthians 9:26, 1 Corinthians 14:9)

This air is the atmosphere surrounding us. It is not heaven. If we accept the literal meaning for the word air (as shown in these references), we would be suspended in air, still in sight, and still subject to the flames of judgment Fortunately, the Apostle was not referring to our being literally in the air.

Another use of the word "air" is found in Ephesians 2:2. It speaks of the "ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient." (NIV)

This use of the word air is symbolic. It is similar to another verse found in Ephesians 6:12:

"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.(NIV)

These rulers of the darkness of this world are in the air, or in heavenly realms. In other words, they are the "higher powers" or the "powers that be" spoken of in Romans 13:1. These are the governments of this world and their leaders. We are instructed to be subject to these powers in the air, until they are replaced by Christ.

The New Government

Christ will establish a new government that will be righteous. His faithful servants will rule with him. ( Revelation 5:10)

They will be elevated to positions of power in the "air" (high places/governments) of the Kingdom age.

God's Declared Purpose with YOU and the EARTH

Is YOUR knowledge of the BIBLE

and YOUR belief and worship of GOD

able to SAVE YOU?

Not sure? Well consider this passage from JOHN CHAPTER 17

"1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: 2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. 3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. 4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do."

The Greek word for "know" is 'genosko' and it means to have a thorough intellectual understanding of what something is all about.

Do you have this understanding of God and His Son

Jesus Christ?

The need for this full understanding of the TRUTH is further underlined by Christ's words in John 17:17Only a TRUE understanding of the Word of God can Save YOU

We are sanctified in our understanding of God's word of Truth ie. set apart as special unto God and Christ, without this we cannot be saved.  Just as Israel were not saved when they strayed from their TRUE knowledge of God.

God's special people the nation of Israel were destroyed for lack of knowledge as we read in Hosea 4:1 Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.

In Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee.

In Hosea 6:6 For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.

The Apostle Paul has warned us that some would not be in the Faith (ie. the true knowledge of God and Christ)...

1 Timothly 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
And again by the Apostle Peter...

2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

And in 2 Thessalonians where the Apostle Paul tells us that some would fall away from "the Truth" he says that this would be becaused they had lost their love of the Truth and had chosen rather to believe a lie.

2 Thessalonians 2:10-12

"10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness."

And so the Apostle Paul counselled us all to Work out OUR OWN SALVATION...

Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

You owe it to yourself and your family to seek the Truth

about God, His Son Jesus and His purpose with you

and this earth.
