God's Plan for You

God's Plan for this World and You

THE view of planet earth, seen from outer space, is very beautiful indeed. Confirmation of this has come from the astronauts who have gazed upon it. The earth is the fairest jewel in God's creation and it is the chosen place in the whole universe where He has promised to reveal His Kingdom in all its glory. That is why it is so beautiful.

The earth, of all the planets in the solar system, is the one that is perfectly suited to all forms of life and the one that orbits at exactly the right distance from the sun to provide comfortable conditions for the human race.

Bible Truth

Is Bible Truth important to your Faith and Salvation ie. will you be saved despite what you believe the bible teaches or does it matter what you believe?

Well the word “truth” appears 237 times in the bible, that alone says it must be important!

Therefore it must be important to understand what “truth” is.

A quick scan of the passages using this word “truth” leave us in no doubt that it is not only important, but vital to our salvation.

John 17:3

3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

1 John 5:20

20And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

1 Timothy 2:3-4

3For thisis good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

Clearly then knowing what is Bible Truth is important and vital, in addition to this we are also warned that some would depart from the “truth”…

1 Timothy 4:1

1Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

1 John 4:6

6We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

From these passages it is very clear that we need to know the “truth” about God and His Son as it is taught to us in the Bible.  This means we must learn what this is from the Bible itself.

Don't let your HOPE of LIFE ETERNAL rest with someone else eg. your pastor or minister, YOU owe it to yourself and your family to be fully convinced of what it is you believe to be sure it HOLDS something REAL for you.

We have all been warned by God that there would be many false teachers and Jesus himself has told us that "Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."  See Matthew 7:14

Sadly when Christ returns to this earth, many will only then realise that they have believed in lies Jeremiah 16:19

"19 O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit."

Don't let this be you or your family!

BIBLE TRUTH and true faith must be founded on a fully inspired Bible.

Are mainstream Christian teachings correct?

The true Gospel can suffer from preconceived ideas and misinterpretations.

Find out what the Bible is actually saying and where interpretation can go wrong.

You owe it to yourself and your family to be sure of what it is you believe, the Apostle Paul has told us to "work out our own salvation with fear and trembling"  Philippians 2:12

What We Believe

True Bible Teaching fundamental beliefs are:

  1. The Bible is God's word and the only message from him. It is without error, except for copying and translation errors.
  2. There is only one God - the Father. The Holy Spirit is God's power.
  3. Jesus is the Son of God, and a human being, through his mother Mary.
  4. Man is mortal, having no existence when dead.
  5. By living a sinless life, ending with his sacrificial death by crucifixion, Jesus has opened the way of salvation from death.
  6. Belief and baptism are essential steps to salvation.
  7. God raised Jesus from death. Jesus is currently in Heaven, on God's right hand. He will one day return.
  8. When Jesus returns, he will raise his "sleeping" followers from death and grant immortality to the faithful who have tried to live by God's precepts.
  9. His followers will help him to rule, bringing justice, righteousness and peace to the whole world - the Kingdom of God.

Truth Seeker - True Bible Teaching

The Bible is our only true source for the Truth!

If we claim to follow Christ we should trust in the Scriptures as confidently as Jesus and his Apostles did:

Jesus said that: The Scripture cannot be broken.  (John 10:35)

Paul said that: All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. (2 Timothy 3:16)

Peter said that: For prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1:21)

The things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven (1 Peter 1:12)

True faith must be founded on a fully inspired Bible.

God's Offer of LIFE or DEATH

“Now what I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach. It is not up in heaven, so that you have to ask, “Who will ascend into heaven to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?” Nor is it beyond the sea, so that you have to ask, “Who will cross the sea to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?” No, the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it.   See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him… This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life…"  Deuteronomy Chapter 30:12-20

From this passage we see how important it is to each one of us that we seek after God and His Word the Bible to us.

Without this we have no hope of LIFE, but only a future of DEATH.

This Word of God was originally given to the Nation of Israel and later it spread via the Apostles of Christ to the World, that even we today might have this same HOPE of LIFE ETERNAL.

It is UP to YOU then to seek out God’s Word, to KNOW what is the TRUTH of God’s Word so that you and your family might KNOW the way of LIFE ETERNAL and the great HOPE of living in God’s Kingdom on EARTH.

Do not let your HOPE rest upon others and most importantly on what others teach, search it out for yourself because we have been warned that the churches would be astray from God’s word in the last days.

"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”   2 Timothy 4:3-4

Too much is at stake for you to not act yourself to seek out the TRUTH.

Christ himself has told us to do this when he said…

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. Godis a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” John 4:23-24

The Bible Is Our ONLY Guide

The Holy BibleThe Bible provides us with plain Scriptural Teaching for the True Followers of Christ

The statements on this guide represent what we believe is true Bible teaching. The statements are deliberately challenging, asking every reader to compare his own opinions with the plain teaching of Scripture, examining carefully the Bible passages offered as proof. If, as a result, a change of mind and heart is called for, there will be no doubt that the teaching of the Lord, and the book he trusted, must be followed and not what the churches teach.

All Scripture quotations are taken from the New King James (also known as the Revised Authorized) Version of the Bible.

True Bible Teaching - About You and God and Your Hope of Salvation

Part 1: God wants all men and women to be saved.

How is God able to save from sin and death?

Salvation is only through Christ

When will God save men and women?

Article Summary

Part 2: What must I do to be saved?

The essential steps

1. Humble ourselves, to accept Grace

2. Have faith

3. Repent

4. Be baptized

5. Live a life of obedience

Once Saved, Always Saved?

In our hearts we know that there must be more to life than simply living and dying. We look into space and consider the wonder of creation and realize there is a greater power than ourselves. We look at the complexity of the human body and realize we are not here by accident or chance. So, why are we here and what is the meaning of our existence?

For many, life is full of suffering and misery. Life often seems unfair and without meaning or purpose. But the Creator of the heaven and earth has told us there is meaning and purpose to life. He has told us there is much more to life than simply living and dying.

The Bible tells us that God wants to save all men and women from a meaningless existence and include them in His eternal plan. The Bible is a book of hope and it tells us of the way that leads to SALVATION.

Part 1: God wants all men and women to be saved.

God tells us that He wants to save all men and women:

"This is good, and pleases God our Saviour, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth." (1 Timothy 2:3-4)

"The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." (2 Peter 3:9)

God also tells us that He will fill the earth with His glory and knowledge:

"Praise be to his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen and Amen." (Psalm 72:19)

"They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea." (Isaiah 11:9)

"For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea." (Habakkuk 2:14)

God will fill the earth with His glory and knowledge by saving men and women who know God and reflect His glory. However, today we see a world that is torn apart by war, disease, poverty, suffering and disaster, and many people do not know, or want to know, anything about God. It is a world that is far from reflecting the glory of God.

When the earth is full of people disobeying God's laws how can the earth be filled with His glory? Ever since the first human failure in the garden of Eden, all men and women have inherited a natural tendency to disobey God. As a result, all people sin and eventually die:

"Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned." (Romans 5:12)

Before the earth can be filled with God's glory, sin must be removed. When sin is removed all the problems associated with sin will also disappear. For this to happen, God has told us about His plan of salvation.

Without such a plan, the earth would never reflect the glory of God and we would be without hope.

How is God able to save from sin and death?

Consider the steps that led to the introduction of sin and death in the Garden of Eden:

1.    The earth was full of God's glory until Adam and Eve disobeyed God's commandment (Genesis 2:16-17; 3:6-13).

2.    They were punished with a mortal (dying) nature that would experience suffering (Genesis 3:15-19).

3.    All people have inherited the same mortal nature (Romans 5:12, 1 Corinthians 15:21-22).

To remove sin and death and fill the earth with God's glory, the above steps must be REVERSED. And this is exactly what happened. Jesus Christ succeeded where Adam failed.

Jesus never sinned, he was totally obedient to God and as a result he opened a way for God to save us and fill the earth with His glory.

The steps leading to the removal of sin and death can be summarized as follows:

1.    Jesus Christ obeyed God completely (Hebrews 4:15).

2.    He was rewarded with an immortal nature that was not able to sin (Acts 2:22-24).

3.    All CAN inherit an immortal nature (Romans 6:8-12).

The essential steps

There are five essential steps that God requires us to take if we want to be saved:

1.    Humble ourselves - to accept Grace Romans 3:23-24; Titus 2:11

2.    Have Faith in God and the Gospel Ephesians 2:8; Hebrews 11:6; Acts 8:12

3.    Repent and be Converted Acts 3:19; Luke 13:3

4.    Be Baptized Acts 2:38; Mark 16:16, Acts 8:16, Acts 10:43

5.    Live a life of Obedience Matthew 28:19-20; 1 Timothy 4:16; Matthew 10:22; James 1:12

Jesus Shows Us the Way

God has provided a way for us to return to Him and be forgiven, but we could never find this "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life"way unaided.

Fortunately Jesus shows us this way, as John Woodall now explains.

A Unique Life

The life of Jesus was amazing! He was born into the family of a carpenter and builder who lived in the north of the land of Israel – a little town called Nazareth. People didn’t think much of Nazareth; they said:

“Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” (John 1:46).

Jesus must have followed Joseph into the family business because the neighbours also called Jesus ‘the carpenter’.

To their astonishment, when he was about thirty years of age, he left that job and began to teach publicly in a way that was fresh and full of authority. And he went about doing marvellous things and showing remarkable acts of kindness. Just think of their reaction when one Sabbath he returned home and went to the local synagogue:

Many hearing him were astonished, saying, “Where did this man get these things? And what wisdom is this which is given to him, that such mighty works are performed by his hands! Is this not the carpenter, the son of Mary, and brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? And are not his sisters here with us?” So they were offended at him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honour except in his own country, among his own relatives, and in his own house” (Mark 6:2–4).

Jesus died when he was only about thirty–three years old, and only three of those years were lived in public.

He  never built a monument, led an army, wrote a book or left any written record and yet he has made a bigger impression on the world than any other person in history.

As we have said before, many of the things done in his name (like the so called ‘Christian Crusades’ in the Middle Ages) are disgraceful and are totally against the teaching of Jesus himself. Even today more people claim to be Christians than to be followers of any other religion. Islam also, although it is a different religion, accepts Jesus as a prophet of God. Indeed, the Quran accepts that Jesus brought dead people to life again (Sura 3:50; 5:110) and it records that God “lifted him up to Himself” (Sura 3:51-58; 4:158). So for Muslims also, Jesus is unique.

Perfect Life

The Bible goes further even than this.

God is Always Right!

When things go wrong for us we might think that God has got things wrong for us. But He never does that and His purpose is always designed to achieve the best, let John Woodall explains what he means by this.

Why Animal Sacrifices?

Throughout Old Testament times, the worship and service of God involved the sacrificing of animals. God is the King; He can forgive anyone He wants to forgive, but we humans are in this mess of failure and death because we have broken His laws. We can understand therefore that God is right to insist that we realize this: that we admit that He is right and we are wrong. This is the lesson that the sacrificing of animals was meant to teach.

People have misunderstood this.

They have thought that God wanted to be appeased by a gift, or that He wanted to vent His anger in some way so instead of killing the sinner He had an animal killed instead.

This is a big mistake because the Living God is not like that. The facts are the other way round. The sacrifices were not killed to change God’s mind or attitude; they were killed to help the sinner admit that he or she was doing wrong and needed God’s forgiveness.

Just as a child who has done wrong tells his parents that he (or she) is sorry and is then forgiven, so it is with us and God.

Sacrifices − Their Meaning

Animal Sacrifice and its meaningThe animal was brought by the person who had sinned, and was usually killed by him for it represented himself. He pressed his hands on the animal’s head, confessed his sin and then killed it by shedding its blood (as described in Leviticus 5:5-6 & Numbers 5:7-8).

It was a sad and solemn moment.

For the worshipper was showing that he knew he was wrong and, like Adam in Genesis 2:17, he did not deserve to live any longer. He was acting out his own death, which would of course come to him sooner or later in the ordinary way; and he was admitting that God was right in that judgement and that he was wrong.

When the person’s attitude was right, he was forgiven, just like the repentant child. But if his attitude was not right, the sacrifice had no value at all, because what brought forgiveness was not the sacrifice itself but the repentant state of mind of the person who had sinned:

“The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD, but the prayer of the upright is His delight”  (Proverbs 15:8).

“The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination; how much more when he brings it with wicked intent!”  (Proverbs 21:27).

Hidden TreasureHidden Treasure

The possibility of finding buried treasure appeals to most of us, if only we knew where to look!

It might require sailing the seven seas in search of a desert island or following some ancient map where X marks the spot and digging to reveal a hidden chest full of coins and jewels. It could be that we inherit a fortune from a long lost relative or buy a vase or a painting from a charity shop, or find something thrown away in a skip that turns out to be worth a huge sum of money.

Unlikely Places

Huddersfield may seem an unlikely place to find treasure, but in 1897 a man discovered 81 coins dating from 1440 to 1550 at Netherton and they now reside in the Tolson museum and are on their list of 10 top treasures.

More recently, in 2011 a metal-detecting club discovered jewellery in a field at Emley, which an inquest has declared to be treasure.

The word ‘treasure’ means things we value and need not mean things of monetary value at all, for there are plenty of things that are far more important and of much more value than financial gain. We treasure friendship and the love of our children and families. We have treasured memories, which are of no financial value. A cure from a serious illness would always be preferred to any amount of money, or gold or precious jewels.

The Bible is like a treasure chest for it contains pearls of wisdom and precious things that money cannot buy.

Faith is Not ENOUGH

Faith is NOT ENOUGHEli had chosen his new car carefully, as he especially wanted one that was reliable.

The mechanics had told him “Check the oil, water, and tyres regularly and you should have no problems”.

Eli had great confidence in his car.

However, he ignored the advice and even took no notice when a warning light showed on the dashboard.

The oil was low and soon after this the engine was damaged. His car became unusable.

He had been confident that the car’s reputation was sufficient and had failed to follow important instructions.

He only had himself to blame.

Sadly, this is not an uncommon approach to life. As one of the proverbs says:

“There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death” (Proverbs 14:12).

In other words, believing you are right does not make you right. Many people have a very strong conviction that they are ‘saved’ by God, but – like Eli – they may be deluded.

Faith can be deadFaith without WORKS is DEAD

Firstly, ‘faith’ on its own is worthless, because it is not proper faith. The apostle James makes this clear.

“Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, ‘You have faith, and I have works.’ Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works” (James 2:17-18); “and Faith without works is dead” (James 2:20).

Hebrews chapter 11 lists people deemed ‘faithful’ by God, and in every case this is evidenced by their having done something consistent with their faith. In John chapter 8 there is a discourse between Jesus and the Jews who argue that they are the descendants of faithful Abraham. Jesus retorts:

“If you were Abraham’s children, you would do the works of Abraham” (John 8:39).

Later, Jesus says to his disciples:

Bible Teaching About Speaking In Tongues

The Day of Pentecost spoken of in Acts 2 has become an inspiration for many. It was a significant event in the formation of the early followers of Christ and was prominent in the spread of the gospel message to other lands.

It was on this occasion that the power of the Holy Spirit was distributed to the disciples so that the gospel message would be given credibility, being supported by miracles.

"And there appeared unto them cloven tongues..."Acts 2:1-6

“1And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

5And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. 6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.”

It is important that we make a distinction in the terminology relating to this particular miracle. The authorized version of the Bible uses the word "tongues" (they "began to speak in other tongues"). More recent translations use the word "languages," which is not only easier for us to understand, but it also helps us to remove some of the confusion in the event.

In a careful reading of the context of Acts 2, we learn that the disciples were given the power to speak in languages that they were not familiar with. These were not unintelligible babblings. Jews who were visiting Jerusalem heard the words of the gospel, spoken by unlearned fishermen, each in the language of their many different homelands. (Read Acts 2: 7-11 to see the many lands that they had come from).

This was truly a miracle. Through the power of God, each in their turn, the disciples were able to teach the gospel of salvation in another language. We can assume that all of the visitors knew how to talk the language of the day in Jerusalem, and the gospel could have been taught in that one language to all of the visitors at the same time. Had this been done, the preaching would have been without the dramatic evidence that their words were endorsed by the power of God

The gift of languages added great emphasis to the message. It was like a spectacular visual aid that caused everyone to pay attention to the "wonderful works of God."

Peter explained the miracle as the fulfilment of an OT prophecy by Joel: "But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel: "And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy. (Acts 2: 14-21)

"Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue."  (1 Corinthians 14:19)

Where Are YOU GOING?

On the morning of August 24th A.D.79, the top of Mount Vesuvius, in Southern Italy, split apart with a thunderous explosion. Smoke mushroomed into the sky darkening the sun. A rain of volcanic cinders and ashes began to sift down amid terrific crashes and terrifying flashes of light.

Herculaneum and Pompeii

Mt VesuviusViolence descended on the two nearby cities of Herculaneum and Pompeii. In Herculaneum an avalanche of mud – a mixture of volcanic ash, rain and lava – engulfed the city. In Pompeii the terror came from volcanic ash and cinders, coupled with clouds of suffocating sulphur fumes. Destruction of all life was complete and sudden and the cities remained buried, under volcanic rubble, for almost seventeen centuries.

In the middle of the 18th century a picture of their terrible end was fully realised when the spade of the archaeologist uncovered them. Pompeii was quite different to a city which has died a natural death by withering away or even by being buried in mud. When the city was struck it was mid-morning, the inhabitants were about their everyday business, and destruction caught them, so to speak, “in the act.”

The baker in his cookhouse, mourners at the last rites of the deceased, whole families gathered in their houses – all died together.

Sudden End

It is frightening to read about the end of these cities. In such a mood there are lessons to be learnt.

God’s Kingdom on Earth – What will it be like? – PART III

Where there is no vision, the people perish…”               Proverbs 29:18

God's House of Prayer for all Nations

Let’s now turn our focus to the believers, those that believe and have chosen to join themselves to Christ in baptism entering into a special relationship with God as sons and daughters.  What will they be doing during this Kingdom of God on Earth?

There will be a lot of work to be done by the believers who at this time will have been given immortality and will share the same nature as Christ and his powers.

Here is a range of jobs for the believers at this time:

·       There will be the work of Elijah in re-gathering all of the people of Israel still scattered throughout the world

·       There will be the work of cleansing and restoring the land of Israel

·       There will be the work of building God’s House of Prayer for all nations, which Christ himself will lead from Jerusalem

·       After God’s judgements have been executed upon all men, there will be a serious need for the world now in a mess to be re-organised

·       There will be the work of bringing all people and nations into subjection to Christ and his righteous rule over the earth

·       Preaching the everlasting gospel to all people as their only means of hope will be critical at this time

·       Organising all people left alive into village life, planting and building their own homes

·       As the earth will still be populated with a mortal people at this time there will still be issues and problems that need to be resolved

·       The believers principle role at this time will be as Priests and Kings of righteousness, this means they will teach and rule over the mortal population, perhaps having responsibility for a number of villages each

The work of Elijah is prophesied in Malachi 3:1

The people of Israel to be gathered from around the world“Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.”

In Jeremiah 3:12-17 we have recorded the message that Elijah and the believers who will be assigned to work with him will regather the people of Israel scattered throughout the nations. This is what it says…

“Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the LORD; and I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you: for I am merciful, saith the LORD, and I will not keep anger forever. 13 Only acknowledge thine iniquity, that thou hast transgressed against the LORD thy God, and hast scattered thy ways to the strangers under every green tree, and ye have not obeyed my voice, saith the LORD. 14 Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion: 15 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding. 16 And it shall come to pass, when ye be multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, saith the LORD, they shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of the LORD: neither shall it come to mind: neither shall they remember it; neither shall they visit it; neither shall that be done any more. 17 At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart.”

The actual work of re-gathering the people of Israel is prophesied in Ezekiel 20:33-44 where we read…

“As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out, will I rule over you: 34 And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out. 35 And I will bring you into the wilderness of the people, and there will I plead with you face to face. 36 Like as I pleaded with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I plead with you, saith the Lord GOD. 37 And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant: 38 And I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me: I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am the LORD. 39 As for you, O house of Israel, thus saith the Lord GOD; Go ye, serve ye every one his idols, and hereafter also, if ye will not hearken unto me: but pollute ye my holy name no more with your gifts, and with your idols. 40 For in mine holy mountain, in the mountain of the height of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, there shall all the house of Israel, all of them in the land, serve me: there will I accept them, and there will I require your offerings, and the firstfruits of your oblations, with all your holy things. 41 I will accept you with your sweet savour, when I bring you out from the people, and gather you out of the countries wherein ye have been scattered; and I will be sanctified in you before the heathen. 42 And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall bring you into the land of Israel, into the country for the which I lifted up mine hand to give it to your fathers. 43 And there shall ye remember your ways, and all your doings, wherein ye have been defiled; and ye shall lothe yourselves in your own sight for all your evils that ye have committed. 44 And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have wrought with you for my name’s sake, not according to your wicked ways, nor according to your corrupt doings, O ye house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.”

Without the transportation systems that we have in the world today it will be a long and arduous journey for the people of Israel to literally walk their way back to the land of Israel.  While they are doing this there will be fierce resistance lead by the Roman Catholic Church who under their false teaching of a latter day ‘anti-christ’ will move large numbers of people (both the adherents to their false teachings and others who are and will be seduced to believe the same things) to the point where Israel will have to fight their way back especially through Europe where Catholicism is dominant.

God’s Kingdom on Earth – What will it be like? – PART II

Where there is no vision, the people perish…”               Proverbs 29:18

God's House of Prayer for all Nations

What changes will there be in living in the Kingdom age?

In Isaiah 2:1-4 we read...

“The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. 2 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. 3 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. 4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore.”

There shall be peace upon the earth as never before as we read in Psalm 72:1-7

Give the king thy judgments, O God, and thy righteousness unto the king’s son. 2 He shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment. 3 The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness. 4 He shall judge the poor of the people; he shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor. 5 They shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations. 6 He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth. 7 In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth.”

Our lives will be quite different to today, peaceful and full of real purpose without greed, hunger or famine.

“They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.”

This speaks of a rural way of life, a life of planting and eating the things we grow, of building our own home and living in it.  Major commercialism as we know it today will no longer exist, consumerism will be gone as people make and use the things they need to live.  A father teaches his children how to live and enjoy life, while giving thanks to God for all we have.

Compare this to how God ESTABLISHED Israel living in their LAND OF PROMISE.  This is what we read in Deuteronomy 6:4-9…

“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: 5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. 6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: 7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. 8 And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. 9 And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates. 10 And it shall be, when the LORD thy God shall have brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee…”

Money as we know it today will be of no use at all, we may barter ie. Exchange goods we have ie. Grow for other goods we don’t have but someone else has grown or made etc...  This is what we read in Isaiah 2:10-21

Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty. 11 The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day. 12 For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low: 13 And upon all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan, 14 And upon all the high mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up, 15 And upon every high tower, and upon every fenced wall, 16 And upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all pleasant pictures. 17 And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day. 18 And the idols he shall utterly abolish. 19 And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth. 20 In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats; 21 To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.”

The gold and silver (monetary) system man uses today will be useless at this time as it along with all its value will have perished in the destruction of all the major cities of the world.  And if everyone grows what they need to live and builds their own home in which to live they will have no need of a monetary system.

The Kingdom of GodTHE KINGDOM OF GOD

The focus of the true Christian hope is the coming Kingdom of God on earth. The Lord's prayer shows this:

"Your kingdom come (that) your will be done on earth, as it is (now) in heaven" (Matthew 6:10)

At Christ's return, "the kingdoms of this world (will) become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!" (Revelation 11:15). Then God's will and desires will be completely and openly performed in this earth.

The Kingdom On Earth

The "kingdom of God" is a phrase interchangeable with "the kingdom of heaven" (Matthew 13:11 cp. Mark 4:11). The Bible never speaks of the 'the kingdom in heaven'; it is the kingdom of heaven which will be established by Christ on earth at His return. As God's will is completely obeyed by the angels in heaven (Psalms 103:19-21) so it will be in the future kingdom of God.

Entering the kingdom of God at Christ's return is the end result of all Christian endeavour in this life (Matthew 25:34; Acts 14:22); as such, it is absolutely vital to have a correct understanding of it. The doctrine of the Kingdom of God forms a vital part of the Gospel message (Acts 8:12;19:8; 28:23,31).

"We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God" (Acts 14:22); it is the light at the end of the tunnel of this life, and therefore the motivation to make the sacrifices which the true Christian life involves.

Old Testament Prophecy Of The Kingdom Of God

Nebuchadnezzars ImageDaniel 2 is one of many prophecies in the Old Testament which speak of the Kingdom of God. Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, wanted to know the world's future. He was given a vision of a great statue, composed of different metals. Daniel interpreted the head of gold as representing the king of Babylon (Daniel 2:38). After him there was to come a succession of major empires in the area around Israel until there would be a situation in which "as the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly fragile" (Daniel 2:42). This speaks of the present balance of power in the world split between many nations, some strong and some weak.

Daniel then saw a little stone hit the image on the feet, destroying it. The stone grew into a great mountain which filled the whole earth (Daniel 2:34,35). This stone represents Jesus (Matthew 21:42; Acts 4:11; Ephesians 2:20; 1 Peter 2:4-8). The "mountain" which will fill the earth represents the everlasting Kingdom of God, which will be established at His return to the earth. Thus the kingdom will be on earth, not in heaven.

"And in the days of these kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed … it shall stand forever" (Daniel 2:44).

God's Declared Purpose with YOU and the EARTH

Is YOUR knowledge of the BIBLE

and YOUR belief and worship of GOD

able to SAVE YOU?

Not sure? Well consider this passage from JOHN CHAPTER 17

"1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: 2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. 3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. 4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do."

The Greek word for "know" is 'genosko' and it means to have a thorough intellectual understanding of what something is all about.

Do you have this understanding of God and His Son

Jesus Christ?

The need for this full understanding of the TRUTH is further underlined by Christ's words in John 17:17Only a TRUE understanding of the Word of God can Save YOU

We are sanctified in our understanding of God's word of Truth ie. set apart as special unto God and Christ, without this we cannot be saved.  Just as Israel were not saved when they strayed from their TRUE knowledge of God.

God's special people the nation of Israel were destroyed for lack of knowledge as we read in Hosea 4:1 Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.

In Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee.

In Hosea 6:6 For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.

The Apostle Paul has warned us that some would not be in the Faith (ie. the true knowledge of God and Christ)...

1 Timothly 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
And again by the Apostle Peter...

2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

And in 2 Thessalonians where the Apostle Paul tells us that some would fall away from "the Truth" he says that this would be becaused they had lost their love of the Truth and had chosen rather to believe a lie.

2 Thessalonians 2:10-12

"10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness."

And so the Apostle Paul counselled us all to Work out OUR OWN SALVATION...

Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

You owe it to yourself and your family to seek the Truth

about God, His Son Jesus and His purpose with you

and this earth.
