God's Plan for You

God's Plan for this World and You

THE view of planet earth, seen from outer space, is very beautiful indeed. Confirmation of this has come from the astronauts who have gazed upon it. The earth is the fairest jewel in God's creation and it is the chosen place in the whole universe where He has promised to reveal His Kingdom in all its glory. That is why it is so beautiful.

The earth, of all the planets in the solar system, is the one that is perfectly suited to all forms of life and the one that orbits at exactly the right distance from the sun to provide comfortable conditions for the human race.

Bible Truth

Is Bible Truth important to your Faith and Salvation ie. will you be saved despite what you believe the bible teaches or does it matter what you believe?

Well the word “truth” appears 237 times in the bible, that alone says it must be important!

Therefore it must be important to understand what “truth” is.

A quick scan of the passages using this word “truth” leave us in no doubt that it is not only important, but vital to our salvation.

John 17:3

3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

1 John 5:20

20And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

1 Timothy 2:3-4

3For thisis good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

Clearly then knowing what is Bible Truth is important and vital, in addition to this we are also warned that some would depart from the “truth”…

1 Timothy 4:1

1Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

1 John 4:6

6We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

From these passages it is very clear that we need to know the “truth” about God and His Son as it is taught to us in the Bible.  This means we must learn what this is from the Bible itself.

Don't let your HOPE of LIFE ETERNAL rest with someone else eg. your pastor or minister, YOU owe it to yourself and your family to be fully convinced of what it is you believe to be sure it HOLDS something REAL for you.

We have all been warned by God that there would be many false teachers and Jesus himself has told us that "Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."  See Matthew 7:14

Sadly when Christ returns to this earth, many will only then realise that they have believed in lies Jeremiah 16:19

"19 O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit."

Don't let this be you or your family!

BIBLE TRUTH and true faith must be founded on a fully inspired Bible.

Are mainstream Christian teachings correct?

The true Gospel can suffer from preconceived ideas and misinterpretations.

Find out what the Bible is actually saying and where interpretation can go wrong.

You owe it to yourself and your family to be sure of what it is you believe, the Apostle Paul has told us to "work out our own salvation with fear and trembling"  Philippians 2:12

What We Believe

True Bible Teaching fundamental beliefs are:

  1. The Bible is God's word and the only message from him. It is without error, except for copying and translation errors.
  2. There is only one God - the Father. The Holy Spirit is God's power.
  3. Jesus is the Son of God, and a human being, through his mother Mary.
  4. Man is mortal, having no existence when dead.
  5. By living a sinless life, ending with his sacrificial death by crucifixion, Jesus has opened the way of salvation from death.
  6. Belief and baptism are essential steps to salvation.
  7. God raised Jesus from death. Jesus is currently in Heaven, on God's right hand. He will one day return.
  8. When Jesus returns, he will raise his "sleeping" followers from death and grant immortality to the faithful who have tried to live by God's precepts.
  9. His followers will help him to rule, bringing justice, righteousness and peace to the whole world - the Kingdom of God.

Truth Seeker - True Bible Teaching

The Bible is our only true source for the Truth!

If we claim to follow Christ we should trust in the Scriptures as confidently as Jesus and his Apostles did:

Jesus said that: The Scripture cannot be broken.  (John 10:35)

Paul said that: All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. (2 Timothy 3:16)

Peter said that: For prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1:21)

The things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven (1 Peter 1:12)

True faith must be founded on a fully inspired Bible.

God's Offer of LIFE or DEATH

“Now what I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach. It is not up in heaven, so that you have to ask, “Who will ascend into heaven to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?” Nor is it beyond the sea, so that you have to ask, “Who will cross the sea to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?” No, the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it.   See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him… This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life…"  Deuteronomy Chapter 30:12-20

From this passage we see how important it is to each one of us that we seek after God and His Word the Bible to us.

Without this we have no hope of LIFE, but only a future of DEATH.

This Word of God was originally given to the Nation of Israel and later it spread via the Apostles of Christ to the World, that even we today might have this same HOPE of LIFE ETERNAL.

It is UP to YOU then to seek out God’s Word, to KNOW what is the TRUTH of God’s Word so that you and your family might KNOW the way of LIFE ETERNAL and the great HOPE of living in God’s Kingdom on EARTH.

Do not let your HOPE rest upon others and most importantly on what others teach, search it out for yourself because we have been warned that the churches would be astray from God’s word in the last days.

"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”   2 Timothy 4:3-4

Too much is at stake for you to not act yourself to seek out the TRUTH.

Christ himself has told us to do this when he said…

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. Godis a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” John 4:23-24

The statements on this guide represent what we believe is true Bible teaching. The statements are deliberately challenging, asking every reader to compare his own opinions with the plain teaching of Scripture, examining carefully the Bible passages offered as proof. If, as a result, a change of mind and heart is called for, there will be no doubt that the teaching of the Lord, and the book he trusted, must be followed and not what the churches teach.

Thy Kingdom Come on Earth as thy will is done in heaven

True Bible Teaching - About You and God and Your Hope of Salvation

Who will enter God’s Kingdom on Earth?

Some people who profess to be Christian’s believe that they are ‘saved’ now and that all that remains is for them to beKingdom 1 taken to heaven upon death.  But heaven as a place of reward does not exist and is not taught anywhere in the Bible – check it out, search “heaven” in a concordance in the Bible and see what you can find, but having done this I can tell you right now that you will not find a passage anywhere that teaches you that you are going to heaven as a place of reward for serving God now??

And if this is not taught in the Bible why would you believe it?  Yes I know churches teach this along with a lot of other false teaching, but if it is not taught in the Bible why would you believe it?

In fact if you go to Genesis 1:6-8 we read this:

“6 And God said, Let there be a firmament (Hebrew sig. ‘expanse’) in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. 7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters (seas, rivers and lakes) which were under the firmament from the waters (the upper atmosphere where a large band of water resided to protect the earth from the harmful ultraviolet rays of the Sun) which were above the firmament: and it was so. 8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.”

So from this we are taught that God called the expanse between the waters below and the waters above “Heaven”.  This is the atmosphere between the waters of the earth and the waters of the high altitude atmosphere that God made to surround the earth in the beginning.

The reality of True Bible Teaching is that we all will die, and that only those baptized (fully immersed) into Christ and who live a life of obedience to Christ will be resurrected from the grave.

This leads us to ask the question:  Who will be saved then?

Well the Apostle Paul told people that previously did not know the Truth of the Gospel Message that they were “…aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world…”

Here it is in Ephesians 2:11-13

“11 Wherefore remember, that yebeing in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; 12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: 13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.”

You believe in God’s Kingdom to be established on earth and you believe you are serving God as obediently as you can, but will you be found worthy to enter God’s Kingdom on Earth?

Will everyone who professes belief in God be saved?

The bible does not give us this assurance, in fact to the contrary it says that “few shall be saved”

World History foretold by the Prophet DanielGuiding the Nations in the Age to Come

Among the many wonderful things revealed by the prophet Daniel is this promise, given to all those who become members of God’s family, by faith and baptism:

“Then the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people, the saints of the Most High. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey Him” (Daniel 7:27).

When the Kingdom of God is established on earth, at the return from heaven of the Lord Jesus Christ, Daniel tells us that Jesus will invite ‘the saints’ – that means all the men and women who have pleased him in their lives – to help him govern the Kingdom of God on earth. To understand what this means, we need to be clear about the state of the world at the time when Jesus returns.

Desperate Need

Most men and women and their rulers will be taken by surprise; but they will be challenged to accept the rule of Christ. The Second Psalm foretells this:

“Why do the nations rage, and the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying, “Let us break their bonds in pieces and cast away their cords from us.” … Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, and distress them in His deep displeasure: “Yet I have set My King on My holy hill of Zion.” “I will declare the decree: The Lord has said to me, ‘You are My Son, today I have begotten you. Ask of Me, and I will give you the nations for your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for your possession … Now therefore, be wise, O kings; be instructed, you judges of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in him” (Psalm 2).

The same decree is mentioned in the Book of Revelation when an angel cries:

“Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water” (Revelation 14:7).

“If any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant”. These words will seem harsh to many, but they are Paul’s words, and likeSpiritual Ignorance all the words of Paul, whether harsh or gentle, they bring with them a lesson for the wise which makes it worthwhile to consider them.

They were uttered by Paul in reference to a class of critics who set themselves up as judges and censors of Paul’s course, without being competent to fulfil their self-imposed function; being, in fact, pious hypocrites, perhaps without knowing it. These critics considered themselves to be spiritual: wherefore he says, “If any man thinks himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord. But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant” (1Corinthians 14:38).

This challenge was doubtless humiliating to those concerned. Paul was willing to allow the possibility of their being prophets and spiritual men, but made their recognition of his teachings a test of the point. If they recoiled from the test, saying, “We don’t know”, he then charged them with ignorance, and called on them to accept their place as ignorant men, and not pretend to be what they were not. The picture before us is that of men in Paul’s day professing attainments in the Truth, but ventilating doubts as to Paul’s authority, under a conceit of superior discernment, which was only a cloak of ignorance. By one trenchant sentence Paul was able to tear the thin gauze from their faces, and reveal the pale, ghastly, green countenances of envious hypocrites, who made a profession of subjection to the Truth, but were all the while spiritual cyphers, uncertain about the great realities of the spirit, and only faintly appreciative of even its palpable glories, being chiefly distinguished by a care of their own precious little dignities and reputations, which suffered eclipse from the orb of Paul’s vigour and faithfulness.

There is such a thing as the whole counsel of God (Acts 20:27); a faithful work of the Lord (Titus 1:9-14); an earnest contention for the faith (Jude 3); a full, wise, uncorrupted, saving testimony of the truth (1Timothy 4:15,16). And there are those who never get farther than a mere smattering of the thing; whose capacities are too contracted to expand to the greatness of the Truth - whose energies are too much bestowed on mere temporalities to leave a sufficiency for growth in the Spirit, and stop short in pious “charitable” uncertainties, which embarrass the operations of the Truth, and would spoil the work of God if they were to get their way. They are dealt with in Paul’s words: “If any man thinks himself a brother, let him show it by acknowledging frankly and abetting heartily the whole counsel of God: but if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant”. If he is uncertain in this or that, and disposed to temporize and compromise, let him take his place as an ignorant man, whose voice should not be heard in counsel, and least of all, lifted up against those who are where he professes to be, and who are doing the work, which, by his profession, he should be doing with all his heart.

We have not a Paul to cut the matter short in this summary way, though if we had, we should probably have the same fight to fight, considering how they flourished and obtained the ascendancy in Paul’s day. We have, however, the Word of God, and good sense to apply its most glorious facts and principles; and with a little timely firmness we may cut our way through the tangle-weed that would obstruct the progress of the boat, and, by the merciful provision of God, land in the desired haven.

It is altogether a mistake to let ignorance or pusillanimity dictate the policy of the Truth at any time, but more particularly in an age, when the truth has to contend with almost insurmountable difficulties. If any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant; but let not those who are privileged to be otherwise, take direction or example from the ignorant man, nor let their course be influenced by him, either for the sake of pleasing him, for from any other motive. His way leads to destruction and death; and all the more so, because he wears the garb and talks the language of one who knows the way of life. “He thinks himself to be a prophet or spiritual:” if he be so, let him show it by the manly, earnest, zealous carriage of such a one. But if he be but a spiritual ignoramus, let him take the consequences in being avoided.

This is the lesson of Paul’s harsh words. Nor is it inconsistent with those other words with which, no doubt, the “charitable” man of ignorance would run to the rescue: “We that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of them that are weak, and not to please ourselves” (Romans 15:1). It is a well-known popular proverb that “the devil can quote Scripture”. The charitable man of ignorance, quoting these words for such a purpose, is an example of it. Nothing is more grievous to sound sense than to hear cogent words misapplied. How easy it is to do so, while all the while appearing to be arguing most justly. The apparent justness of it is the measure of its mischievousness and

Is God’s Love Unconditional or Conditional?

One of the great truths of the Bible, in perhaps its best-known verse is that:

Is GOD'S LOVE Unconditional or Conditional?

“God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life" (John 3:16).

The thought is echoed by the apostle Peter when he says that “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9).

But does that mean that God loves everyone regardless of anything and that He means to save everybody who has ever lived? Or has God made His love conditional upon some response?

Careful Reading

False ideas often come about because the Bible is read in an incorrect way.

Take the wrong idea that Lucifer is a fallen angel, also known as Satan, or the devil.

There is only one verse in the Bible where the name “Lucifer” is found, and then only in the King James (and the New King James) Version.

Here it is:

"How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, you who weakened the nations!" (Isaiah 14:12).

Read the Bible correctly and you will see that this verse is directed at the king of Babylon (v4), and in (verse 12) he is being likened to the Day Star (a translation many modern versions adopt) – that is, the planet Venus. It is important to read the Bible properly, otherwise we get all sorts of wrong ideas and end up picking and choosing the verses we take notice of.

God’s Conditions

So, does God love us unconditionally, or are there conditions before we come within the ambit of His love?

Look at God’s dealings with the nation of Israel: people he had rescued to be His own special nation. When He brought them to Mount Sinai and gave them the Ten Commandments, this is what He said:

"I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments" (Exodus 20:5–6).

Are YOU Saved?

The house was blazing and fire-fighters were rescuing people trapped inside. It was extremelyAre YOU Saved? dangerous and the firefighters had to apply their skills with great care.

“Thank you SO much for saving me”, gasped one man who had finally been brought to safety. “No problem”, said the fire-fighter, “but you stay well away from the building now; don’t go anywhere near until we say it is OK”.

Some minutes later the man ran back to a part of the house that did not look as though it was on fire.

No-one knew why and no-one could stop him.

Suddenly there was an almighty crash and part of the building fell on him, killing him outright.

Remember Lot’s Wife

There is a similar account in the Bible.

Angels visited the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah and told the man Lot to get out, together with his family. God was going to destroy these cities because their inhabitants were so wicked. Lot’s family was led to safety by the angels, who even held their hands and told them “Escape for your life! Do not look behind you nor stay anywhere in the plain” (Genesis 19:14–17).

However, after being taken out of the city, Lot’s wife did look back and was turned into a pillar of salt. Jesus refers to this in Luke 17:32, warning people of the importance of taking notice of his words.

In each of these scenarios people had been removed from inevitable destruction by being taken to a safe place, but they subsequently perished because of their own foolishness.

Doubtless they thought they were ‘saved’, even though they perished.

A happy couple growing old together through life is what most of us dream of. Do YOU REALLY WANT to Live FOREVER?

But is that all there is?

Wouldn’t you like to live forever young?

The prophet Daniel was inspired to foretell the resurrection of the dead at the coming of Jesus and called it an awakening from the dreamless sleep of death. Then he adds that only some of those raised from the dead will be made immortal. Here’s what he said:

“Many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, some to shame and everlasting contempt (death again). Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever” (Daniel 12:2,3).

Jesus expands on this Old Testament teaching as follows:

“The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!” (Matthew 13:41–43).

Many shall Awake

After the resurrection, the faithful will be rewarded with eternal life (perfect life that lasts forever), but in these words there is also an important warning. Those judged unfaithful will experience ‘shame and everlasting contempt’. Please note that the verses do not say they will suffer eternal pain.

In fact the Psalmist says this:

“The wicked shall return to Sheol (the grave), all the nations that forget God” (Psalm 9:17 ESV).

“Hell” or “Sheol” are names that just mean the grave and what we are being told is that people who are rejected at the judgement in the last days will just die again. Their fate will be that of “everlasting destruction” (2 Thessalonians 1:9) and their bad reputation will be always remembered as a warning.

Jesus was once asked a trick question about the resurrection concerning who will be married to whom in the future age. His answer tells us much about the blessings of immortality:

“Jesus answered and said to them, “The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage. But those who are counted worthy to attain that age, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage; nor can they die anymore, for they are equal to the angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection” (Luke 20:34–36).

Equality with angels! Not ever dying or being sick or sad again! This is what God offers to us, if we will believe the truth of His word really try to remain faithful and obedient to His word of truth.

Millions repeat “The Lord’s Prayer” every day, but I wonder how many mean it and believe it?The Lord's Prayer "forgive us our sins"

For a start it requires us to accept that we are sinners in need of forgiveness, an idea that doesn’t come naturally. So in this article, we’re going to look at four things:

What is sin?

What are its consequences?

What did Jesus do to find a remedy?

What does that mean for us?

Nowadays all kinds of sexual immorality, cheating, blaspheming, family and social disruption, stealing, greed, fighting are taken for granted.

In the books we read and the TV programmes and films we watch we are condoning such behavior if we don’t see it as sin. We tend to explain such conduct as social problems and we certainly don’t talk of them as sin!

What is Sin?

We are all sinners, because the Bible says so – “all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3: 23). And a little later in that letter the apostle explains how sin came about and, in doing so, he confirms that we are all sinners:

“Through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned” (Romans 5:12).

The “one man” is Adam who deliberately broke God’s law, while Eve had done so, without realising what she was doing, being deceived (1 Timothy 2:14). Their experience sums us up too. For we can be deliberate sinners, wilfully breaking God’s law, or we can sin through sheer inability, being unable to meet the high standard God expects of us. So, we ARE all sinners, whether we like it or not, when assessed by God’s high standards, but what does that mean?

Sin and its Consequences

Well, of course, the immediate consequences are mainly social:

❖ disruption in society due to the break-up of family life when adultery or unfaithfulness occurs;

❖ diseases caused by sexual promiscuity, or over-indulgence in harmful substances, such as drink or drugs;

❖ the hatred caused by acts of revenge;

❖ personal loss when stealing prompted by covetousness and greed are uncontrolled.

But the ultimate personal consequence for each one of us, whether we commit specific criminal or anti-social acts, or if it’s just “falling short” of God’s standards, is spelled out for us in the Bible – “the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). This is a reference right back to the disobedience of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden and this could easily lead to despair – except that God has made provision to deal with all kinds of sin, ours included.

What Did Jesus Do?

The Race of LifeWhere are YOU in the Race of Life?

The world of the First Century, when the New Testament was written, was in many ways very much like today’s world. For example, people loved to watch athletics and First Century athletes were stars, just like today!

Bible writers often used pictures from everyday life that were designed to catch the attention and make their readers think. One of the pictures that’s often used is the picture of life as a race.

“Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown” (1 Corinthians 9:24–25).

When the apostle Paul wrote those words to the Christians in the city of Corinth, he was probably thinking of the Isthmian Games, one of the most important athletic events in the ancient world which was held in Corinth. Paul istelling his fellow Christians – you should take your race of life every bit as seriously as the athlete who trains hard and gives everything he’s got to achieve that moment of glory.

In Greek athletics the winner was often crowned with a wreath made of laurel leaves – to the athlete this was the supreme accolade, but it only lasted a few days before it started to fade. Whether it’s a laurel wreath or a gold medal, sooner or later the glory will fade and be forgotten. But the prize for the Christian is eternal life in God’s Kingdom!

The Riches of this World compared to the PROMISES of God

To some this might seem to have an obvious answer ie. The riches of this world are not ETERNALwealthvsgod1 whereas the PROMISES of God ARE ETERNAL!

That in itself is a very compelling argument and certainly works by itself for some people to decide that they don’t want to just perish away into nothing at the end of this very short life but choose rather to seek something that is ETERNAL out of this life.

However for numerous others who still choose the riches of this world over the Kingdom of God it is clearly not enough, so what is missing?

Well for some it is probably the whole issue of whether God even exists let alone whether or not there is an ETERNAL kingdom coming.

We have numerous articles that already deal with this and all the evidence that clearly supports the existence of God both from the Bible and from Science so we don’t need to deal with this here, but for those who would like to, here are a couple of links:

See OVERWHELMING Evidence that the Bible is TRUE

But what about those who do believe that there is a God and yet never get around to learning about Him and His Purpose?

Well frankly some of us do just put things off until ‘tomorrow’, we might mean well by saying this to ourselves that one day yes we’ll look further into this.  Yet sadly for most of these people ‘tomorrow’ never comes and I have met a lot of older people who will tell you exactly this and they just don’t know where all the time has gone.

Sadly this is true for most because as we get older and life becomes more complicated with more responsibilities, careers and families etc then time becomes an even more precious commodity that only a determination of will and action will make that ‘tomorrow’ happen.

Yet the simple fact is that whatever you do or don’t do, God’s purpose is and will be worked out upon this earth whether you are ready for it or not.  For those who know about it the signs are all about us in the world today that God’s purpose is alive and well and is happening before our very eyes.

God’s purpose is waiting for no one!

See GOD'S Purpose with the EARTH

Day by day we see developments in this world that demonstrate that the things God has spoken of 2,000 and 3,000 years ago are happening right now and that all the nations are aligning to what God Prophesied would be the geo-political alignment of nations in the last days.

But how easy it is to be caught up in the riches and more so the pleasures of this life to the point you see this as the sole purpose of your life and the pursuit of the things this world has to offer for some it becomes an all consuming thing.  For them they live to work and reap the returns this world can offer.

Some people might even see wealth as giving them control over their life?  But is this true?

Well to some extent wealth can bring us more options as to what we can do, but we can still get sick diseased and die?  Ultimately you can’t control these things no more than you can prolong your life.  After all God has sealed our fate with death as the wages of sin which all men everywhere are guilty of and some wealthy people perhaps even more guilty of.  So can wealth give you control – not really and in the end most definitely NOT!

Whereas for others they work to live and are looking for the most out of this short life and most definitely for something more than the things that are transitory and fleeting and only conditional upon a certain supply and demand that has many times over around the world proven to be fragile at best.

Here alone is a striking contrast because we read in the Bible that “8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.”  Hebrews 13:8.  And again in…

Finding the time to Stand Still?standstill1

It isn’t easy to find time to think. Life is so busy and there is always such a lot to do. Even when on holiday there are places to go, things to see, shops to visit and meals to eat. It can be exhausting! Just sitting and thinking is seldom an option.

Stand still

Sometimes we need to find time to take stock, especially when we are really stressed and times are hard. Fleeing refugees were once being pursued by their erstwhile slave masters when they came to an impassable barrier. What were they to do? Fortunately they listened to their leader and he gave them this startling advice:

standstill3"Moses said to the people, 'Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever'”(Exodus 14:13).

As it happened the fleeing Israelites couldn’t do much else. The sea was in front of them and the Egyptian army was behind them, so they had to stand still. Then it was that God opened a way across the sea which enabled them to escape. Thus it was that Israel moved forward as a nation and reached Mount Sinai where God declared them to be His special people, through whom He would communicate to all nations.

Kadesh Barnea

Less than two years later, the infant nation assembled on the edge of the Promised Land and hesitated. God had promised them a land flowing with milk and honey and now they had to possess it, under His guidance. But they asked for a scouting party to be sent in first, so they could see what they were up against, and selected twelve men – one from each of their tribes – to go and spy out the land.

Their report was discouraging. Only two of the twelve recommended invading; the other ten said it could not be done. What was the nation to decide? Would they believe God and go forward in faith or would they falter and fail? They faltered, because they could not believe that God could do what He had promised and the result left them with a lot of time on their hands. Moses pleaded on behalf of the faithless nation and this is what God said:

"I have pardoned, according to your word; but truly, as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord— because all these men who have seen My glory and the signs which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have put Me to the test now these ten times, and have not heeded My voice, they certainly shall not see the land of which I swore to their fathers, nor shall any of those who rejected Me see it"(Numbers 14:20–23).

God's Declared Purpose with YOU and the EARTH

Is YOUR knowledge of the BIBLE

and YOUR belief and worship of GOD

able to SAVE YOU?

Not sure? Well consider this passage from JOHN CHAPTER 17

"1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: 2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. 3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. 4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do."

The Greek word for "know" is 'genosko' and it means to have a thorough intellectual understanding of what something is all about.

Do you have this understanding of God and His Son

Jesus Christ?

The need for this full understanding of the TRUTH is further underlined by Christ's words in John 17:17Only a TRUE understanding of the Word of God can Save YOU

We are sanctified in our understanding of God's word of Truth ie. set apart as special unto God and Christ, without this we cannot be saved.  Just as Israel were not saved when they strayed from their TRUE knowledge of God.

God's special people the nation of Israel were destroyed for lack of knowledge as we read in Hosea 4:1 Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.

In Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee.

In Hosea 6:6 For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.

The Apostle Paul has warned us that some would not be in the Faith (ie. the true knowledge of God and Christ)...

1 Timothly 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
And again by the Apostle Peter...

2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

And in 2 Thessalonians where the Apostle Paul tells us that some would fall away from "the Truth" he says that this would be becaused they had lost their love of the Truth and had chosen rather to believe a lie.

2 Thessalonians 2:10-12

"10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness."

And so the Apostle Paul counselled us all to Work out OUR OWN SALVATION...

Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

You owe it to yourself and your family to seek the Truth

about God, His Son Jesus and His purpose with you

and this earth.
