EU rejects Trump Middle East peace plan annexation

eu vs us fightBRUSSELS (Reuters) - The European Union rejected parts of U.S. President Donald Trump’s peace plan for the Middle East on Tuesday, prompting an angry response from Israel which has strongly backed the U.S. proposal.

The plan, announced by Trump last week with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at his side, was rejected outright by the Palestinians. It would give Israel most of what it has sought during decades of conflict, including nearly all Palestinian land on which it has built settlements.

The EU, which often takes time to respond to international developments because of a need for unanimity among its 27 members, had said last week that it needed to study the Trump plan before it would give its verdict.

It made its conclusions public on Tuesday in a statement from EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell, who said Trump’s plan departs from “internationally agreed parameters”.

“To build a just and lasting peace, the unresolved final status issues must be decided through direct negotiations between both parties,” Borrell said, noting the issues of the borders of a Palestinian state and the final status of Jerusalem were among those still in dispute.

Steps by Israel to annex Palestinian territory, “if implemented, could not pass unchallenged,” Borrell said. Israel responded sharply to the remarks by Borrell, a Spaniard in office since the start of December.

“The fact that the High Rep of the EU, Josep Borrell, chose to use threatening language towards Israel, so shortly after he assumed office & only hours after his meetings in Iran, is regrettable &, to say the least, odd,” tweeted Israeli Foreign ministry Spokesman Lior Haiat.

“Pursuing such policies & conduct is the best way to ensure that the EU’s role in any process will be minimized.”

Trumps peace plan is not a bad step, but it is interesting and fulfilment of Bible Prophecy that the EU will not be in support of this or at minimum will have serious issues about it.  Why is this you may ask?  Well the short of it is that the EU and the USA will be on opposing sides in the final conflict of Armageddon which takes place in the Middle East and is over issues of Conflict about the Middle East and to take a "spoil" of the wealth that shall be acquired above and beyond anything we see today by peace being established between the southern Middle East Countries.  We can already see a growing alliance between the southern Middle Eastern Countries.  This is not a surprise to Bible Students as it is fully expected that Egypt along with the southern Arab Nations will support Israel in the latter days making up the King of the South based on Bible Prophecy.

So this current article will one day soon see a movement develop towards PEACE in the Middle East.

According to Bible Prophecy the Biblical King of the South will see an alignment between Egypt with Israel along with the Arab Gulf States who are largely the descendants of Ishmael the son of Abraham by his wife's maid Hagar (Genesis 16:3). The King of the South will oppose aggression from Russia and the EU.  They will be supported by America and Britain.

Yet again we see that current news is portraying movements towards the latter day alignment of Nations as Prophesied by the Bible falling into place before our very eyes.  See this article to learn more about this and the latter day prophecies of the Bible.
