How World News relates to God's PLAN and Purpose with the World

There's so much CO2 in the atmosphere that planting trees can no longer save us

Most scientists agree emissions must be reduced

Humans emit roughly 30 to 40 billion tons of the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide into the atmosphere each year. If we keep it up, the Earth will continue to heat up and ultimately our way of life will be devastated.

So what can we do about it?

Most scientists agree that we need a way to capture some of that CO2 to take it out of the atmosphere. One idea is to plant lots of trees. Trees use CO2 in order to grow and they also release oxygen, so it's a win-win.

But recent reports indicate that we simply can't grow enough trees to capture the necessary amount of CO2 to help us meet the goals set by the Paris Agreement.

We would have to cover the entire US with trees just to capture 10% of the CO2 we emit annually.

There's just not enough room on the planet to have the farmland it takes to feed the world plus the space to plant the necessary number of trees.

In other words, many of us would starve if we tried using trees to solve our emissions problem.

Mankind continues to face uninmaginable problems from Global Climate Change, but in reality this is just one of the many problems man faces without any solutions in sight.  Given that mankind could not agree and action the planting of more trees, what chance is there that mankind will agree or action a reduction in CO2 emissions??
The Bible is clearly very right when it said that in the last days prior to Christ's Return "

25 “There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. 26 People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken. 27 At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory."   (Luke 21).  So here once more we see clear evidence of just how close the Return of Christ is.

But despite these problems, the earth will survive, it will not be destroyed as God has promised that He will first destroy those who destroy His Earth.  “We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, who is and who was, for you have taken your great power and begun to reign.

18  The nations raged, but your wrath came, and the time for the dead to be judged, and for rewarding your servants, the prophets and saints, and those who fear your name, both small and great, and for destroying the destroyers of the earth.”  (Revelations 11)
